Change workspace user permissions
Go to ⚙️ Organisation > Users.
Click the user you want to edit. Their access opens in a side panel. Workspace admins only see the workspaces they administer here.
Organisation admins first pick the Access type: Member, Billing, Admin or Owner. Admins and owners have full access to every workspace, so there's nothing more to pick for them; skip to step 5.
For members and billing users, pick their workspace access:
- All workspaces (only organisation admins can set this) applies in every workspace of the organisation, including ones created later.
- Under Per workspace, each workspace row adds to that for one workspace: pick one of the organisation's roles (every organisation starts with View only, Editor and Full access) or Custom… to choose individual permissions. Tick Workspace admin at the end of a row to give full access to that workspace instead.
Permissions add up: someone with View only in All workspaces and Editor in one workspace can edit in that workspace and view everywhere else. In the custom editor, what All workspaces already grants is shown ticked and cannot be taken away there.
WARNING
Only grant the permissions a user actually needs.
Click Save at the bottom to apply the changes.
