Template Pages

A template page is a page with designated editable areas. It lets you create a consistent design once, then let other people fill in specific parts — text, images, or other content — without being able to accidentally break the layout.

This is especially useful when multiple people are responsible for content, or when the same layout is reused with different information each time.

Creating a template page

  1. Build a normal page in the Page Editor with your full design
  2. Select a layer you want others to be able to edit (text, image or video, page, or dynamic data; groups, shapes and apps can't be made editable)
  3. Click Make editable in the toolbar above the canvas
  4. If the layer has no name yet, give it one — this name is shown to editors when they use the template
  5. Editable layers are marked with a pink wand icon in the layer list. For text, click Lock styling to let editors change only the words, not the color, font or size

Once a page has at least one editable layer and is saved, it automatically appears in the template list, marked Your templates, when you create a new page.

Using a template

When creating a new page, pick your template (marked Your templates), give the page a name and click Create page. Instead of the full editor you get a live preview of the page next to a Fields list with one field per editable layer — the rest of the layout is locked.

This keeps your brand and layout consistent while letting content editors focus only on what they need to change.
