Activity Log
Lumicast keeps an audit trail of everything that happens to the content in your workspace — who created, edited, published, or deleted it, and when. In the app this history is called Audit logs.
What is tracked
Each entry is a single line, such as Alex updated this resource. These actions are recorded:
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Created | A new item was created |
| Updated | An item was edited |
| Renamed | An item was renamed |
| Moved | An item was moved to a different folder |
| Deleted | An item was deleted |
| Published | A playlist or campaign was published |
| Reverted | Unpublished changes to a playlist or campaign were thrown away |
| Updated the rows | Rows of a data source were added, edited, moved or deleted, with a count of each |
| Updated the schema | Columns of a data source were added or removed |
History is kept for every content item: pages, media, playlists, campaigns, apps, links, messages, data sources, and folders.
Each entry records:
- Who made the change (user name, or API key name for programmatic actions)
- When it happened (hover over the time to see the exact date and time)
- Why, when the change came from something else — for example as part of publishing campaign Summer sale, or after template Menu was updated
Viewing the activity log
The activity log is shown per content item:
- In an editor — at the top of a page, playlist, campaign, app, or data source you see who last edited it and when. Click it to open the Audit logs panel with the full history. Scroll down to load older entries.
- In the content library — choose Content information on an item. The Activity section lists the same history.
Who can see it
Anyone with access to a content item can view its history. The log is read-only — entries cannot be edited or deleted.
